Anti-UV and Anti-yellowing are related to the anti-aging and appearance of the plastic film, but work through different mechanisms. Outdoor application products prioritize UV-resistant films, while products request higher appearance should choose yellowing resistance. Improving UV resistance generally improves yellowing resistance to a certain extent but cannot completely replace specialized yellowing treatment.

 

Anti-UV refers to the ability of plastic film to resist UV damage.

Anti-yellowing refers to the ability of a film to resist yellowing under various factors (such as UV rays, heat, and oxygen).

 

•   Anti-UV (UV resistance)

Ultraviolet rays are a high-energy portion of the solar spectrum. Long-term exposure under UV, will damage the molecular structure of the plastic film, causing aging, brittleness and fading.

Plastic films with good anti-UV effectively block or absorb UV rays, slowing the aging process and protecting the film's physical and chemical properties.

When exposed to external environmental influences such as light, heat, and oxidation, films are susceptible to molecular structural changes, resulting in yellowing, affecting the transparency.

Plastic films with excellent anti-yellowing maintain their original transparency and color even after extended use.

 

Function-Prevents film materials from yellowing due to environmental influences.

Applications-Packaging films, optical films, and protective films for electronic products.
