What is the difference between heat self-healing and instant self-healing of PPF Wrap film?

Self-healing performance of PPF wrap film, is the performance of automatically restore to the original state after encountering a slight scratch. Heat self-healing and instant self-healing are the two types of automatic repair of PPF wrap film. What about the difference between heat self-healing and instant self-healing, although both self-healing performances are for the repairing scratches.

 

Heat self-healing requires a certain temperature to recover, which performance is only for TPU PPF warp film material. Unlike TPH PPF and PU PP, TPU PPF wrap has a tight molecular structure, good elasticity and long elongation. At a certain temperature, the damaged molecular structure will automatically recover to achieve the purpose of repairing scratches.

 

Comparing with heat self-healing, instant self-healing is fast process of automatic repairing, without heating. Instant self-healing is with lower anti-scratching. Without tight molecular structure, the wrap film surface is easily contaminated by dirt during repair, which will be easy yellowing, and short service life.
